Zaera George is a Romanian-born, Vienna-based percussionist known for her versatility across classical, jazz, Latin, pop, and contemporary music. Equally on stage and in the studio, she performs on a wide range of instruments including marimba, vibraphone, timpani, drum set, and Latin percussion.
She has appeared as a soloist with the State Philharmonic of Arad, performed with orchestras such as the Prague Philharmonic, Romanian Chamber Orchestra, and München Kammer Orchester, and collaborated with renowned conductors including Cristian Măcelaru, Jordan Philippe and Andres Orozco-Estrada. Since 2023, she has also become active in the Latin-jazz scene, performing with La Sonora, Corcovado Salsa Club, Visa Mestiza and various international artists.
Zaera is also an experienced session musician, with recording credits at Synchron Stage Vienna for Red Bull, Star Wars, and Sony Music’s Eurovision participants, Abor&Tynna. Her own productions, such as “Fusion Mallets” and live sessions, are available on YouTube.
